St. Barth's

Anse du Columbier off St Barth's

St. Barth’s was next on the agenda. Though we missed this year’s Bucket Regatta, some of the fabulous 100’-plus sailboats were still in Gustavia Harbor. We also saw many fabulous mega yachts. Limitless and Eclipse were among them.

A quick spin through Gustavia netted us fresh baguettes, pate de foie, a few fantastic cheeses and a few fabulous (and relatively inexpensive!) French wines.

After a couple of days of seeing how the 1% live, it was back to St. Maarten to bid Will adieu and pick up Bob, a first time charter guest who had been looking forward to the trip for months. But not before… you guessed it… MORE KITEBOARDING! That afternoon we made our guest exchange and Bob had his first night aboard with Cat, Dory, Captain Dirk and myself. We had a lot of laughs and some great food (Shrimp Scampi over Orzo, Romaine Salad with boat made vinagrette and another round of Chocolate Lava Cake for dessert (Dory and Cat missed it the first time we served it, so we trotted it out again!). Just as delicious as the first time.

We couldn’t have Bob come all this way and miss St. Barts, so back across the ocean we went, and hit the highlights one more time.
